About Access Arts
Access Arts was established to create more opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to take part in high-quality, inclusive arts activities in Tunbridge Wells.
Our regular art and design workshops provide a supportive space in which artists can explore their interests, develop skills and experiment with different materials and processes. Sessions may include painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, digital art and textiles.
You are welcome to bring your own ideas and projects, or we can help you develop ideas and introduce you to new techniques and materials. You can work independently or alongside others – whatever suits you best.
An important part of Access Arts is creating opportunities for the work made in our workshops to be seen and enjoyed by a wider audience. As the group develops and builds a body of work, we are planning an exhibition at Trinity Theatre Gallery, with further opportunities to showcase artists' work within the local community and beyond.
When and where
The group meets fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons from 1.30–4.30pm at the Residency Studio at The Amelia Scott in Tunbridge Wells.
Each three-hour session costs £30, including all art materials and equipment.
We are offering a free taster session on Wednesday 21 October for anyone interested in finding out more about the group. There is no obligation to continue – it is simply an opportunity to meet us, see the studio and have a go.
